If you don’t own a home, you can buy one for $1000 down thanks to the backing of the Federal Government. Now, if you do own a home but can’t pay the bill, Uncle Sam will float you $50,000 interest-free.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development have begun issuing emergency $50,000 loans at zero interest to unemployed homeowners in an attempt to stall foreclosures, using $1 billion of Porkulus funds for the effort and $2 billion from the same source for indirect aid through state governments.
I’d love a $50,000 interest-free loan too, I could use it to grow a business – giving something back to the economy. But since I didn’t collect unemployment after my mortgage business closed and my wife and I have adjusted our lifestyles in order to meet our obligations, the government doesn’t want to give us a handout. They’d rather encourage people who are struggling to stop paying their bills in hope of a bailout in Obama Bucks. They’d rather buy votes and continue to precipitate the problem by giving more of our tax dollars away – keeping people reliant on Uncle Sam instead of encouraging them rely on themselves.
Thank God our taxes are going up next year to pay for this mess. Then there will be even less money in the economy, more people needing handouts, and a larger class of people dependent on the government dole for their basic needs. Sounds like the perfect recipe for unending progressive power.
